Craft, Substance, Technology, Presence: Why Print Still Matters in a Digital World
Presented by Neil Williamson at Print Art Cape Town
Saturday 5 September: 10 – 12 AM
R 60 per person (10 – 12 persons maximum)
In a world where images vanish with a swipe, the physical print remains the most
powerful way to give artwork permanence, presence, and value.
Join us for an engaging workshop exploring why prints still matter — culturally, creatively,
and commercially — and how today’s cutting edge digital technologies are combining with
traditional analogue processes to open new possibilities for artists and photographers.
Through demonstrations and guided discussion, we’ll talk about what makes a good print
and unpack the current state of fine art printing, from colour management and archival
materials, as well as the unmatched depth and range of Piezography™ black and white
system.
Whether you’re a photographer, artist, or print enthusiast, this session will deepen your
understanding of the craft and hopefully suggest new possibilities.
